T O P I C R E V I E WPanther494Where are the Revell or Airfix models for the Artemis Space Launch System (SLS) and Orion spacecraft? 1/144 for the complete stack, 1/48 for the Orion. Why nothing available now, before the first launch? Is it that they are waiting for the crewed missions that may have modification? I hope not, us modellers are a creative bunch and could scratch build if necessary. Please give us the basics soon.Robert PearlmanOne of the constraints may be licensing. While SLS and Orion are NASA vehicles, my understanding is that Boeing and Lockheed Martin, respectively, own the rights to the design of the vehicle. So any commercial model kits would need to reach a licensing agreement with the company(ies) before going into production.NASA GlennOne of the news broadcasters was using the Estes SLS model to describe the launch. It looked pretty good.GACspaceguyJust to refresh this topic. While there are no traditional type model kits there are some nice looking 3D print kits on eBay theses days. I bought the SLS stack in 1/144 scale in the correct livery and I will post once it arrives. PeterORealSpace Models makes a resin 1/144 scale Artemis 1 kit.OLDIEArtemis 1 1/144 3D plastic kit is also available on eBay from Rabbit3D.
